13 Met Gala Best Dressed Stars
The MET Gala has just concluded, and we have once again seen stunning stars in the MET Gala best-dressed list. All these celebrities pulled off all the stops to showcase their best MET Gala fashion and style. Stars like Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Taylor Swift, Blake Lively, and Alessandra Ambrosio have been capturing the limelight non-stop with their Manus x Machina themed ensembles. These celebrities deserved their spot in the best red carpet looks category from their heels to their jewelry. We also gathered 13 of the most fashion-forward looks, style, and jewelry that we loved from the Met Gala.
1. Kendall Jenner
Kendall Jenner's Met Gala-look truly lived up to the year's theme, "Fashion in a World of Technology." Her look was very cosmopolitan, subtle, and very sexy. The supermodel was included in one of the celebrities who truly made everyone give a second look. The Victoria's Secret model rocked an Atelier Versace gown that featured a cut-out top with a halter touch. Kendall Jenner was one of the Kardashian-Jenner clan who flaunted their stuff in the event. Also present on the red carpet was Kylie Jenner, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West. The Estee Lauder beauty finished off her look with Lorraine Schwartz earrings and rings.
2. Kylie Jenner
The youngest among the Kardashian-Jenner offspring is starting to live up to the fashion. Kylie Jenner had her Met Gala debut, and like her older sister Kendall, the Kylie Lip Kit owner flaunted her version of sophistication on the red carpet. Kylie Jenner went for a heavily embellished Balmain gown. The subtle sneak peeks on her gown were teasing. With sparkles all over, it was a hard task to ignore this 18-year-old daughter of Bruce Jenner, who grew up in front of our eyes. Kudos to Kylie! She has a couple of hits and misses over the years, but this one is a definite A+ look.
3. Cindy Crawford
Although we had expected many metallic-themed dresses considering the concept for the Met Gala, we still haven't prepared ourselves when we saw Cindy Crawford on the red carpet. The supermodel shows us that beauty isn't based on age but on your ability to look still sexy and confident. Like the Jenners, Crawford wore a sparkly, metallic Balmain gown with cut-out patterns here and there. The gorgeous mom made her dress do the talking by keeping her hair and makeup simple. To complement her dress, she went for a sterling silver chain earrings. Very chic and cosmopolitan!
4. Queen B
She made her look fashion-forward by opting for a latex gown embellished with pearls. Although husband Jay-z was not on the Lemonade singer's side, the multi-awarded Beyonce still shone and stood out. Although her gown was a make or break deal with many people, we love Beyonce's choice. The dress is like a break from all the metallic themed outfits and all-black ensembles we have seen. Since this year is the year of rose gold, Blue Ivy's mom just chose a perfect dress. And let us not forget those dainty rings that added more glamour to her overall look. Hands down, B! You did it again!
5. Kate Upton
Kate Upton dropped two bombs on the red carpet of the Met Gala. First, she came and posed for the red carpet, looking like a drop-dead gorgeous goddess. Kate Upton now belongs to the best-dressed list thanks to this sexy gray dress with metallic sequins all over courtesy of TopShop. The second bomb was, aside from her ethereal and sparkly Met Gala jewelry, she flashed another shiny trinket: her engagement ring from Justin Verlander. The newly-engaged supermodel found a perfect place to break the engagement ring. Belonging to the Met Gala best fashion list and getting engaged, wow, that's a double win for Kate!
6. Emma Watson
At the red carpet at the Met Gala, Emma Watson made quite a statement. Although owning the red carpet isn't new for Emma, she keeps making statements, and the Met Event was not a stranger to them. The Harry Potter star made a fashion statement with this crisp and bold ensemble she collaborated with Calvin Klein. Still, she also made a bold message by revealing that the train of her gown was made out of recycled plastic bottles. Now, how cool is that? Emma gave an exclamation point to her red carpet look by adding a dainty earring and jewelry to finish off the ensemble. I am sure Hermione is proud of this girl.
7. Dakota Fanning
Dakota Fanning truly is not a little girl anymore. She looked downright sophisticated on the red carpet of the Met Gala with her standout ensemble. While everyone else struggles with their metals and gem-embellished outfits (yes, we're talking to you, Kylie Jenner), the 22-year-old beauty went for a lace gown in stunning black detail (total opposite to her sister, Ellie's, all-white look). The Twilight actress kept it bare and simple with her subtle black choker necklace, which undeniably complimented her gown. She sashayed all night looking every bit like a lady. We're so proud of you, Dakota.
8. Adriana Lima
How does a model turn into a futuristic fashionista? You only need to refer to Adriana Lima's red carpet to look for the Met Gala to know the answer. This Victoria's Secret Angel, who looked all so beautiful with her tanned skin and a bold lip, rocked the red carpet with a fashion-forward number from Giambattista Valli Haute Couture. The supermom made the outfit pop with her stunning black heels and a little jewelry help from Chopard for her Met Gala jewelry. Even though she came in with a midi skirt for the outfit, she did not come short of perfection. Hands down, Adi, you're perfect!
9. Blake Lively
Blake Lively turned heads when she stepped on the red carpet at the Met Gala looking downright stunning and different looking sultry and sophisticated. It turns out that Blake isn't only sporting a blush pink elegant gown from the House of Burberry; she was also flaunting her baby bump, too! Lively, looking forward to her second child with Ryan Reynolds, decided to take advantage of the proverbial "pregnancy glow" by donning a very complementing peach, coral, pink gown. Can we ever forget those popping dangling earrings? Nope, never. Those Met Gala jewelry of Blake were stunners, too. Ryan Reynolds must have been so proud of his lady.
Zendaya is a perpetual member of the red carpet best-dressed stars. Even with her risky looks and out of this world hair, Zendaya has a way to ace the red carpet fashion in her unique style. Her look for the Met Gala was no different. Donning a bronze gold gown from Michael Kors, she looked straight out of a Hunger Games book. This dress is something Katniss Everdeen would wear. Oh, and not to mention that bowl cut that oddly looks so good on her. Zendaya finished off this fashion-forward and futuristic look with her gems complementing the dress. Did Zendaya make it again on the best-dressed lists? Of course, she did.
11. Nicole Kidman
Turning the camera lenses to her, Nicole Kidman still knows how to wow the crowd after all these years. Keith Urban was all too adoring of his wife during that night; people who saw her could not help but admire the look that she donned. She looked like a futuristic Roman goddess in her sparkly Alexander McQueen gown, which made her look that the galaxy is all printed all over her dress. She added drama to her gown with a Fred Leighton tiara on her beautifully braided hair. The littleneck details provided by the gown also spell love. We cannot blame Keith Urban why he is head over heels for this woman.
12. Olivia Wilde
Ladies and gentlemen, Olivia Wilde's red carpet fashion and jewelry for the Met Gala were hands down fierce! The pregnant star stood out among the crowd with her bulging baby belly and her gown that was totally on point at all angles. The Michael Kors gown emphasized her sexy baby bump. The huge silver choker was a force to reckon with on this look. There's a reason why people can't stop gushing about Olivia's look!
13. Margot Robbie
Although Margot Robbie's red carpet look eschewed the metals, sequins, and everything sparkly, she still stood out from the rest. Like, isn't that what Margot Robbie do? The Suicide Squad star looked ethereal in a white cut out dress care of Calvin Klein. As for her Met Gala jewelry, she boldly contrasts with Elsa Peretti's gold cuffs.
This Met Gala just showed how fierce our favorite stars are in their creative outfit. We can't wait for the next year's Met and see more fashion inspiration. We hope you like our list. Who's your top 10? Don't sit there waiting. Keep sparkling, darling.
